International Schools
Shanghai American school is one of many the schools incorporating blogs into their curriculum. Shanghai is the large is the largest international school in China. It uses an American-based curriculum with Advance Placement classes for high school students. The maximum class size is 18 and students are mixed depending on their ability, gender, nationality, and background. The school is in the transition phase of moving from a computer lab setting towards a model of technology use in the classroom. The school has over 1,350 desktop computers in the school along with over 400 laptops that support the use of technology into the classrooms. The campuses communicate by a video conferencing system that allows students and teachers to interact across the campuses. What I found to be useful was that the school actually had blog headquarters. This was a place where students and teachers can use blogs to look back on classroom assignments and interact with students on campus and around the world.

K-12
According to Goochland Public Schools blogs sets an excellent example for how students can communicate effectively with emerging communication tools, such as a website or weblogs. This particular school systen as a whole feels that blogs help with effective communication skills whuch is required throughout a students education. Blogging also helps teachers with providing easy to use tools that keeps not only the students but the parents informed with classroom and school news. I also found interesting that at these particular school when students use laptops or a computer lab, they can easily visit sites the teacher has directed students to visit through the weblog. As an added benefit, parents at home can also visit the same website and reinforce Internet-based content at home.

I found one this particular website interesting because it told different ways to incorporate technology in the classrooms. It used certain examples such as cell phone use, teachers sent homework assignment through via text. However, Princeton review the test preparation company sends practice SAT questions and drills to students on their cell phone. Parents can also retrieve the results from those results as well. It also talked about free online homework help that I feel is very beneficial.

Alex
Alex was a sit that focused on providing educators with different resources for the classroom. Alex provides exclusive networks of teacher info and links to different beneficial sources for teaching. Alex has descriptive lesson plans, worksheets, theme units and teacher tools and rubrics.
Alex also provides exactly what you should be incorporating in your lesson plan by grade and level. What I also found cool is that Alex will help you create a lesson plan. Basically, every subject area you could possibly think of had a lesson plan guide availability. I really liked the way it provided day by day material for the particular subject matter.
Alex also provides educators with different information about distant learning which I think is a very important to have as student and instructor. It provides opportunities for people with a busy lifestyle like me to still seek a degree and higher learning.
I feel that Alex would be extremely helpful to me as a educator. My minor is Dance and my major is Health Education but I want to teach dance in the public school system. Looking on Alex I found that there is a plan for each grade level as far as what you should be teaching or covering at that level. Things like space, shapes and movement to the K kids and Choreography and performance is focused on the sixth to twelfth grade. It also provided different activities that can be done in a dance classroom setting.

Access.doc
I really don’t see where using Access will be beneficial in my Field that I’m Going into. Number one I’m going into dance and to have it taught over the internet is a little hard to do I would imagine. However, for schools in rural areas without the opportunity of taking dance a video presentation of ballet or jazz dance can be incorporated into Physical Education class.
However, I do feel that advanced math class and other advanced courses should be provided to students who are somewhat gifted. Distant learning is a perfect way to allow them to be challenged. It also provides them with a variety of courses to take no matter where they go to school. You don’t have to transfer school just for a particular subject matter your're interested in.
